Two best mates, two bikes and over 200 miles of beautiful French landscape. David Baddiel and Hugh Dennis, who've been friends for 40 years, pedal through France while getting up to mischief, exploring stunning local sights and having a good old chat along the way. This time, David and Hugh cycle along the final part of the majestic Garonne canal and discover amazing scenes and astonishing stories in unexpected places, while digging deeper into their upbringings and family histories. They discover the only Rembrandt that's not in a museum or a private collection, only yards off the cycle route. Hugh shows off his superior sporting skills in a battle with David and some local gents on the pétanque pitch. David discovers a connection with his family's past through a story of heroism in the town of Moissac. And they round off their Garonne canal trip by heading into Toulouse to find a priceless artefact hidden underneath the city's 800-year-old Basilica.
