Sam, a 23-year-old man, is rushed into hospital with an excruciating pain in his lungs and coughing up blood, and the team suspect it may be a pulmonary embolism. Meanwhile, staff rush to attend a 66-year-old patient who has been found at home in cardiac arrest, and a man who has been living with unbearable pain in his legs for several years is finally having surgery.
