The lives of four ambitious teen singers from Appalachia are chronicled as they attempt to find success in Nashville. In the opener, singers from the Appalachia region converge in Pikeville, Ky., for the annual Hillbilly Days singing competition. A surprise judge turns the event into a life changing opportunity, and the stakes get higher as the singers discover the winner could potentially get a record deal.
